Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in a loop? Maybe you keep attracting the same type of challenging relationship, or perhaps you find yourself hitting the same wall of self-doubt every time you’re about to take a big leap in your career. It can feel like you’re walking in circles, and no matter how much "work" you do on yourself, that one specific ache or pattern just won't budge.

If that sounds familiar, you aren’t alone, and there is a reason for it.

Welcome to the world of Psychoastrology®.

This isn't just your standard horoscope or a typical therapy session. It’s a unique, trademarked methodology I developed to bridge the gap between your personal psychology and your natal astrology. By looking at the stars through a psychological lens, we can uncover your "inner blueprint", the map of your soul’s journey, your deepest wounds, and your greatest potential for healing.

What Exactly is Psychoastrology®?

At its core, Psychoastrology® is a therapeutic framework that uses your natal chart, specifically the placement of an asteroid called Chiron, to understand your psychological patterns, core wounds, and limiting beliefs.

In traditional psychotherapy, we spend a lot of time looking at our history, our childhood, and our behaviors. This is vital work. But sometimes, there’s a missing piece. Astrology provides a symbolic language that can help us identify why certain themes keep showing up. When we combine the clinical depth of psychology with the ancient wisdom of astrology, we create a powerhouse for personal transformation.

My goal at Nolatherapy is to help you use this blueprint not just to understand yourself, but to change your life. Whether we are working through Zoom therapy or discussing these concepts on my podcast, All Things Therapy, the focus is always on shifting your "frequency" from one of wounding to one of empowerment.

The asteroid Chiron as the 'Wounded Healer' in Psychoastrology

Meet Chiron: The Wounded Healer

To master your inner blueprint, you first have to meet Chiron. In mythology, Chiron was a centaur known as the "Wounded Healer." He was a great teacher, healer, and philosopher who, despite being able to heal everyone else, could not heal his own chronic wound.

In your natal chart, Chiron represents your "core wound." This isn't a wound that happened because you did something wrong. It’s a point of vulnerability that you brought with you into this life. It’s like a "raw nerve" in your psyche.

Depending on which astrological sign and "house" Chiron was in at the moment of your birth, your core wound will take on a specific flavor. For some, it’s a wound of rejection or abandonment. For others, it’s a wound of worthlessness or inadequacy.

When we identify your Chiron placement, we stop guessing why you feel triggered in certain situations. We name the wound, and in naming it, we begin to take its power away. You can learn more about this specific process in my book, The Chiron Effect: Healing Our Core Wounds through Astrology, Empathy, and Self-Forgiveness.

Understanding the "Orbit"

One of the most important concepts in Psychoastrology® is what I call The Chiron Effect. Think of your core wound like a planet with a strong gravitational pull. Because that wound is so sensitive, we tend to build our lives in an "orbit" around it.

We choose partners who trigger that wound. We choose jobs where that wound is constantly rubbed raw. We develop defensive behaviors, like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or addiction, to keep ourselves from feeling the pain of that center.

When you are in a "wounded orbit," you are repeating patterns. You are living in a frequency of lack, fear, or "not-enoughness." Mastering your inner blueprint means learning how to change your orbit.

How to Start Mastering Your Blueprint

If you’re ready to stop circling the same old pain and start spiraling upward, here is how you can begin using the principles of Psychoastrology® today.

1. Find Your Chiron

The first step is practical. You need to know where Chiron is in your natal chart. You can find free chart calculators online, or we can look at it together during a personalized session. Once you know the sign (e.g., Chiron in Aries) and the house (e.g., the 4th House), you have the coordinates for your core wound.

2. Practice Radical Self-Empathy

Once you identify the wound, the natural instinct is often to try and "fix" it or judge yourself for having it. In Psychoastrology®, we do the opposite. We meet the wound with empathy. If you have a wound of "inadequacy," instead of yelling at yourself to "be better," you say, "I see that I am feeling inadequate right now. This is my Chiron speaking. It’s okay to feel this way."

3. Use Self-Forgiveness as a Tool

Forgiveness isn't just for other people. Most of the work I do with clients involves forgiving themselves for the coping mechanisms they developed to survive their core wounds. You didn't become a perfectionist because you were "bad"; you became one to protect your vulnerable Chiron. Forgiving that version of yourself is how you break the orbit.

4. Shift Your Frequency

Every Chiron placement has a "low frequency" (the wound) and a "high frequency" (the healing). For example, if your wound is about "not being heard," the low frequency is staying silent or screaming to be noticed. The high frequency is becoming a powerful communicator who helps others find their voice.

The Path to Work/Life Balance and Growth

You might be wondering, "How does astrology help me with my work/life balance?"

The truth is, your "inner blueprint" dictates how you show up in every area of your life. If you have an unhealed core wound around "achievement," you might be a workaholic who can never relax because you’re trying to outrun a feeling of worthlessness. No amount of time-management hacks will fix that, but healing the Chiron wound will.

When you master your blueprint, you stop reacting to life from a place of old pain. You start responding from a place of conscious choice. This leads to:

  • Better Boundaries: You stop saying "yes" to things out of fear.
  • Authentic Relationships: You stop attracting people who mirror your wounds and start attracting those who mirror your health.
  • Career Alignment: You move toward work that feels like a calling rather than a burden.

Final Thoughts: You Are the Architect

Psychoastrology® isn't about your fate being written in the stars. It’s about the stars providing a map that you get to navigate. You are the architect of your life, but it’s much easier to build a beautiful home when you have the blueprints in your hand.

If you are feeling ready to dive deeper into your own map, I invite you to explore the resources here at Nolatherapy. From individual counseling to my book The Chiron Effect, there are many ways to begin this journey.

You don't have to stay stuck in the same old orbit. Your wounds aren't just points of pain: they are the very places where your greatest light is waiting to break through.
