Hey there, and welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. If you’ve ever felt like there is a specific area of your life where you keep hitting a wall: no matter how much therapy you do or how many self-help books you read: you might be bumping up against your "Chiron."
In my work at Nolatherapy, I’ve spent years helping people bridge the gap between traditional psychotherapy and the deeper, more spiritual insights found in astrology. This intersection is what I call Psychoastrology®, and at the heart of it lies a small but mighty celestial body called Chiron.
If you are ready to stop running from your "stuff" and start using it as fuel for your evolution, you are in the right place. Let’s dive into Chiron 101.
What (and Who) is Chiron?
In astronomy, Chiron is a unique "centaur" body: part comet, part asteroid: that orbits between Saturn and Uranus. But in astrology, we know it as the Wounded Healer.
The name comes from Greek mythology. Chiron was a centaur who was a master of medicine, music, and prophecy. Ironically, despite being a great healer for others, he suffered from a physical wound that he could never heal for himself. Instead of letting that pain embitter him, he used his experience to become the most compassionate and wise teacher of his time.
In your natal chart, Chiron represents your deepest soul wound. It’s that place where you feel inherently "broken," rejected, or not enough. But here is the secret I share in my book, The Chiron Effect: the medicine is in the wound. Your greatest pain is actually the doorway to your greatest gift.

Why Should You Care About Your Chiron Placement?
Most of us spend our lives trying to hide our vulnerabilities. We build walls, we develop "coping mechanisms" (that sometimes turn into self-sabotage), and we try to pretend we have it all together.
But transformation doesn’t happen by ignoring the pain. It happens by looking right at it with compassion. When you identify where Chiron sits in your birth chart (by sign and house), you get a roadmap of:
- The Root Cause: Why you feel a certain type of recurring emotional pain.
- The Pattern: How that pain manifests in your relationships, career, and self-image.
- The Remedy: The specific steps you can take to flip that wound into a superpower.
This isn't about "fixing" yourself: because you aren't broken. It’s about integration. It’s about taking those tender, sensitive parts of your soul and realizing they are exactly what make you a powerful, empathetic human being.
Finding Your Chiron: The First Step
To start this journey, you’ll need to look up your natal chart. You can find many free calculators online (like Astro.com). Look for the symbol that looks like a "K" over an "O": that’s the key of Chiron.
Once you know the sign (like Aries, Leo, or Pisces) and the house (1st through 12th) where Chiron lives, you can begin to decode its message. For instance, if you have Chiron in your 11th House, you might feel like a perpetual outsider in groups. Healing that wound involves learning to value your unique perspective rather than trying to fit into a mold that wasn't made for you.
The Chiron Return: The Big Mid-Life Awakening
If you are between the ages of 48 and 51, you might be feeling some extra intensity. This is what we call the Chiron Return. It’s the moment in your life when Chiron returns to the exact spot it was when you were born.
This is a massive period of personal transformation. It’s often a "reckoning" where the universe asks: Are you going to keep carrying this old baggage, or are you ready to finally let it go? It can be a vulnerable time, but it’s also the most fertile ground for healing I’ve ever seen in my therapy practice.

Healing Through Meditation and Self-Acceptance
On my podcast, All Things Therapy, I often talk about how we can’t think our way out of a soul wound. We have to feel our way through it.
One of the most effective tools for mastering personal transformation is meditation. When we sit in stillness, we allow those "Chironic" feelings: the feelings of inadequacy or shame: to rise to the surface. Instead of pushing them away, we practice radical self-acceptance. We say to that wounded part of ourselves, "I see you. You are safe here. I love you anyway."
This shift from self-criticism to compassion is the core of the healing journey. It’s how we move from being a victim of our past to being the master of our future.
How to Work with Me and "The Chiron Effect"
If this resonates with you, I want you to know that you don't have to walk this path alone. Understanding your Chiron is a deeply personal process, and sometimes having a guide makes all the difference.
In my book, The Chiron Effect: Healing Our Wounds through Astrology, Empathy, and Self-Forgiveness, I break down exactly how to work with each sign and house placement. It’s a practical guide designed to help you use your own birth chart as a tool for deep, psychological healing.

Final Thoughts: Your Vulnerability is Your Strength
We live in a world that tells us to be "tough" and "unbreakable." But I’m here to tell you that your cracks are where the light gets in. Your Chiron isn't a life sentence of pain; it’s a lifetime invitation to wisdom.
When you master your Chiron, you stop being afraid of your own sensitivity. You start to see that the very thing you were most ashamed of is often the thing that allows you to connect most deeply with others. That is true transformation.

Remember, you are capable of healing things you never thought possible. Let's do this work together.
